Mar 20 2017
I track set the Nordic Ski trails this afternoon once the snow had warmed, and the tracks turned out really good. It's great spring skiing along the trails but check the morning temps......if it's below zero the tracks will be icy.....better wait till the afternoon.  Overall the snowpack is pretty solid with just one collapse area but there's water moving so the good tracks won't last long. Mostly it's single track with a few sections of double track. The dog trail is in great shape!

I was able to set track this morning and conditions were quite good for setting a nice track. Had to run the sled up and down a few times as the snow was quite heavy, but once that was done all went well.
The fresh snow from yesterday was groomed and fresh tracks were set today (Saturday) at the Nordic ski area. Its very nice spring skiing conditions and with the warm snow, its not too fast. If it freezes overnight the tracks will become much faster so get it while its hot. Is this the last trail grooming for the year?….hard to say but the ski season continues.

Tom just groomed the trails and reports the skiing is excellent (until it starts raining!).
